There was some fairly bright aurora along the northern horizon this evening. However, it was heavy cloud and rain in my location north of Reykjavik, and I didn’t expect to see any clear sky. I was lucky though – I looked outside at 23:00 and there was a patch of clear sky low in the north which allowed me to see some green aurora by eye. This gap had mostly clouded over again by the time my camera was setup, and I only took one record shot as it had also started raining again! You can just see the green colouration close to the edge of the mountain in the tiny gap in the cloud!
