I wasn’t expecting too much aurora this evening, but after one of my night sky checks then there was a hole in the clouds and an unmistakable glow! Unfortunately I wasn’t able to make it to a scenic spot, so took a few record shots over some lorries and containers. The distortion in these images is due to the use of the wide-angle lens, and isn’t avoidable without some very clever tweaking during processing (which I have opted out of).
