Some nights one just gets clues that the aurora is bright and active, based on glimpses through the cloud. This image shows the vertical blue light from the Imagine Peace Tower disappearing into an enormous cloud bank over Reykjavik, with some patches of green aurora visible to the right. Probably a nice show going on behind the cloud!
