Aurora diary: 24th October 2019

There was a strong aurora this evening with the return of the coronal hole that produced great auroras in late September. However, the gale force winds outside made it very difficult to operate the camera at my location, and keeping the tripod upright was virtually impossible. I took only these two photos as a result! You can see the light from the Lennon Peace Tower at Reykjavik, which is upright in reality but looks angled due to the distortion from my wide-angle lens.
